Life is Short

I heard last night that a classmate's wife had passed with very little warning; cancer with not tie to how she lived.

This has set for weeks, because I have been unsure what to say.

I have come to the conclusion tonight, that it is best to recognize them, toast their lives, and keep the essential lesson in the fore-front.

Life is Short.

A Better Way .... Kill People and Break Things

Like others, before and after me, I choose to go to a Service Academy. We held up our hands, swore an oath, and gave years of our life doing sometimes dangerous things. Along the way, I got an engineering degree, and a big dose of life. We joked that it was trade school, because our "Trade" was going to far off lands and "Killing People and Breaking Things".
